Wycombe travelled away to high flying Aldershot and came back with a point, and are still wondering how it wasn't 3 points, after a fantastic team performance. Wycombe did produce there best all round performance of the season, looking very strong at the back with Katie Hudson commanding in goal. As an attacking team Wycombe created several chances in the first half with Su hitting the post and Twiggy having three good opportunities. Renee also had a few opportunities to take the ball on. Right from the start of the second half it was very much the same. Su had a one on one with the keeper and really should of scored but the Aldershot keeper kept them in the game. Charlie was also through on goal and faired no better. Then another powerful run from Charlie allowed Wycombe to get into the box but was brought down. Wycombe were given a penalty and up stepped Su only to sidefoot it wide. After this point it seemed to inspire Aldershot, who by now must of realised that it could still be there day. They did hit the bar and missed a one on one chance themselves, but after a hard fought game the deadlock was not to be broken.
Coach Graham Malcolm described this as by far our best performance of the season, with all players contributing, we looked a real team with purpose and desire, and played some great football. No one played poorly!!!
NO SINGLE POM as the whole team deserved it! Well done girls!
FINAL SCORE: WWLFC 0 ALDERSHOT 0
