The Reserve Team had a very good game against a strong Headington Team at the Rye as it poured down with rain.
Headington Athletic LFC played very well in the first half but probably should
have crossed less and shot a bit more. In the first half Wycombe were able to score, really against
the run of play asTwinkle, almost from the corner flag, (which she claims was
a shot but....anyway) dropped the ball over the keeper & inside the far post.
Becca came on in the second half up front & was really lively.
Amy scored the penalty when the ball bounced up and hit a defenders hand.
Jade struck a good shot from the edge of the box to make it 3
Headington Athletic attacked well and eventually, with 12 minutes remaining, managed to score- as they had been threatening to do all afternoon, but were unable to convert. They continued to press hard to get more in the last stages of the game and as Wycombe began to look tired, but the girls managed to hold on till the final whistle.

FINAL SCORE: WWLFC RESERVES 3 HEADINGTON ATHLETIC LFC 1

Goal Scorers: Twinkle, Amy Watters, Jade
