24/09/06 First Team beat Aylesbury 2-0 in 1st qualifying round of FA Cup Print E-mail

Wycombe played in the first qualifying round of the fa cup on Sunday and came up against a very good Aylesbury utd team.
The game saw a debut for charlotte snow who fitted in very well.
Most of the first half possession was with Wycombe, who did miss several good chances. Su Oakley and Charlotte Snow both coming close. Charlie Clarke saw her shot come off the bar.
Eventually a strong run from Oakley got her through to the keeper and she cooly finished to make it 1-0 before the half time whistle.
The second half started well for Aylesbury who gave everything they had to try and get an equaliser. Wycombe still managed to squander chances, but eventually a solo effort from Oakley was enough to see Wycombe through to the second qualifying round where they will be away to Slough Town.
