R.AF Ladies 0 - 3 Wycombe Ladies.
Wycombe Wanderers travelled to RAF Uxbridge on Tuesday night for a friendly match against the forces. The game was played in a good competitive spirit.
Wycombe fielded several youngsters and begun the game with 5 players under the age of eighteen, and it was one of these players Tasha Smith who finished off a great move down the right hand side to pass the ball into the net.
Wycombe did not have it all there own way and the midfield of the opposition caused problems all night.
The second goal came half way through the first half and it was Leah Asante who ran on to a direct ball and coolly slotted the ball into the net.
The second half saw 5 changes made by manager Graham Malcolm who was looking towards Sundays game. Su Oakley was given 45 minutes after being out with a back injury and showed that she may be able to play some part in the weekends game.
Our third and final goal arrived with our youngsters growing in confidence. Kirsty Gladwin hit a precise ball onto Tasha who hit a looping shot over the goalkeeper.
Unfortunately Wycombe suffered several injuries with key players now a major doubt for Sunday - Charlee sprained ankle, Heather ankle ligament damage and could be out for 6 weeks, Kirsty another sore toe and Twiggy a suspected broken big toe, hopefully they will have enough time to recover.
A good performance from our debutant Chris in goal gives us back up in that department..
A big thankyou to the R.A..F. and we look forward to continuing our relationship with them.
Next game at home (Loudwater FC) to Launton, 11th November, meet 1pm.
