Wycombe entertained Tetbury Ladies in the first qualifying round of the F.A Cup. The girls came away with an emphatic 8-0 win under the whatchful eyes of approximately 100 screaming fans - Twiggy's entourage - at Adam's Park.

The team started brightly as they took to the task of breaking down a high-lined defence. As the girls tried to break the dead-lock early on in the game, shots were raining in from all angles. The first goal was not long in coming as a corner from Twiggy was knocked down by Charlee, for Kirsty to slot home.

Goal number 2 followed shortly as Twiggy cut in from the right wing to crack an unstoppable shot past the keeper into the top left hand corner. It was not all one-way-traffic, Tetbury did have two great chances but with Katie being so quick off her line it was always going to have to be something special to beat her.

One final goal came before the half ended through Charlee as she drove through the centre of midfield to rifle home a long range shot giving Wycombe some breathing space. 3-0.

Wycombe picked up the second half where they left off with Charlee scoring yet another long range shot.

It was a long time coming for Su, yes Su, finally getting in on the act to make it 5-0.

Charlee completed her hatrick with her third long range shot. Another corner was met by a towering header from Su which gave the keeper no chance.

One final goal came through our captain Heather who cooly hit a floated ball into the back of the net; 8-0.

Although we will have greater challenges ahead, it was encouraging to see a Wycombe team taking the game to the opposition, looking to score at every opportunity.

Some good performances from Charlee and Katie, to name but a few, but today was Twiggy's day. Her technique, awareness, setplays......were all outstanding. She seemed to have a hand in everything, from the goals right through to the fans......all I can say Twiggy, is that if the presence of your own 'Barmy Army' can bring out such a performance, bring them every week.
